Sam Sanders is an award-winning reporter, radio host and podcaster. He currently hosts and is executive producer of the The Sam Sanders Show, made in conjunction with KCRW and distributed nationally by PRX. Sanders has been named podcaster of the year by both The Ambies and The iHeart Podcast Awards, received the Icon Award from the Podcast Academy, and his podcast work has been placed on year-end best of lists by Vogue, Vulture, Spotify, the CBC and the New York Times. His written work has appeared in The Columbia Journalism Review, The Washington Post, New York Magazine and Politico Magazine. Sanders was previously a founding host of The NPR Politics Podcast and NPR’s It’s Been A Minute, and previously hosted the culture podcasts Into It from Vulture and New York Magazine and Vibe Check from SiriusXM. He is a judge for the Tribeca Audio Awards and has taught radio at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. Sanders lives in Los Angeles with his skittish pitbull Wesley.
