About me
Melissa Block is one of NPR’s most familiar voices. For more than a decade, she anchored the network's flagship afternoon newsmagazine, “All Things Considered,” and she spent many years as a roving NPR correspondent. Her reporting took her from China during a massive earthquake, to the Olympic Games in Brazil and South Korea, to the farthest reaches of Alaska, and earned her journalism's highest honors. Melissa left NPR in 2023 and now has fulfilled a lifelong dream to be a DJ: She hosts a weekly music show on a community radio station. She lives in Washington, DC, with her husband, writer Stefan Fatsis.
