About me
Colin Woodard is director of Nationhood Lab at Salve Regina University, where he studies U.S. regionalism and nationhood. The author of seven books including American Nations and Nations Apart: How Clashing Regional Cultures Shattered America, as a journalist he won a George Polk Award and was a Pulitzer Prize finalist. He’s a graduate of Tufts University and the University of Chicago and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
